When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: "Aren't all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?

Telephone Tree

Purpose:
To keep members informed of important church information. This is a large church and there are times when the whole membership needs to be informed of a death, serious illness or an important event not previously scheduled. In order to communicate quickly with all the members the following plan is in place. This works as long as everyone on the chain is faithful in making the calls.

Structure:

The church secretary or pastor informs the co-ordinator of the message to be conveyed.
The co-ordinator calls two ladies each of whom has list of 12-14 people to call.
Each of the people that they call has a list of 10-12 people to call.
If someone on that list is away or cannot be contacted there are four spares each of whom has a complete list. One of them is contacted and makes the calls.
